This group is designed to restore the balance of body, mind, and spirit. The group will be based on the principles set out in Dr. Anita Johnston's book, Eating in the Light of the Moon, a gentle and supportive guide for women who want to recover from disordered eating

From Dr.Anita Johnston and Robin Richardson comes an active and inspirational program for healing, which includes storytelling and meditations, a conscious eating guide, inspirational cards, and journal writing themes and questions. In addition, this group will feature weekly acupuncture sessions to help member’s access healing states and facilitate emotional and physical connection.

Eating disorders create great stress on the body’s systems; acupuncture can restore the function, health, and balance of these systems.  Acupuncture has been proven to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, aid in emotional regulation, balance mood swings, restore healthy digestion, and lower stress.

The group will be facilitated by Robin Richardson, MA, CMT
and Rachel Fisher, MSOM, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.

Robin has a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University.  Her psychotherapy practice focuses on eating disorders, addictions and sexual abuse.  She has worked with individuals with Eating Disorders for 20 years and is also a singer/songwriter, a certified massage therapist, a singer asdfds  with 15 years of international performing experience and an inspirational speaker for all age groups.

Rachel began her journey into holistic medicine in 1995, when she became certified in Kripalu Bodywork at the Kripalu Center in Lenox, MA.  She also holds an Associate Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling.  Rachel received her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from the Southwest Acupuncture College in 2004 and has a private practice in Boulder, Co.
